We won a lawsuit on behalf of the defendant for damages caused by the Xavier snowstorm

We represented the Client involved in the litigation as a third party defendant – Minsk Hotel, which was sued by two dozen plaintiffs in a class action to recover the value of cars damaged by the collapse of the roof of the hotel parking lot as a result of snow storm Xavier.

Due to the fact that our Client, as a general contractor, designed and built the Minsk Hotel and parking lot, the plaintiffs alleged construction defects that caused the roof to collapse.

As a result, we managed to win the lawsuit by convincing the Economic Court of Minsk and higher instances that the incident was caused by force majeure circumstances excluding the defendant’s liability.
