Our client’s opponent (one of the largest state-owned construction companies in Belarus) did not include the amount of VAT in the cost of services rendered to the client and did not pay the said amounts of VAT to the budget. As a result, the tax authorities imposed additional tax charges and penalties on the opponent. The latter filed a claim against our client for recovery of the accrued amount of VAT.
We developed the client’s legal position and represented its interests in the economic court. The claims against our client were rejected in full.
