In this case, we rendered comprehensive legal assistance to a bank for the effective restructuring of the debt of one of the borrowers in the amount of several tens of millions of US dollars as part of bankruptcy proceedings. As a result, we were able to ensure the repayment of the loan and related debts of the borrower in favor of the Client primarily to other creditors, and the company itself was acquired by the investor in bankruptcy through auction.
The peculiarity of this project was that the enterprise operated as a property complex in a free economic zone, the nature of its activities predetermined the impossibility of stopping the production cycle, and the acquisition of an enterprise of such profile required the permission of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
