Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus No. 288/13 dated 9 June 2026 “On the Use of Digital Tokens as a Means of Settlement” has been officially published.
The Resolution specifies the cases in which digital tokens may be used as a means of settlement for the performance of obligations under foreign economic contracts between resident legal entities and non-resident legal entities through crypto banks.
According to the press service of the Government of Belarus, such cases include, in particular, foreign trade activities (export and import of goods, works, services and intellectual property), as well as, in certain cases, the activities of forex companies and leasing activities.
The Resolution provides additional opportunities for carrying out export-import transactions, the Government’s press service noted.
This legal act was adopted pursuant to the Regulation on the Activities of Crypto Banks approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 19 dated 16 January 2026.
The Resolution enters into force on 18 July 2026.
